Acroyoga - Yoga - Thai Massage

Yoga Leipzig

Movement has always been in my life: ballet, gymnastics, aerial silks, yoga and acroyoga. My relationship with gravity is a constant dance, a never-ending, ever-expanding universe.

Science has always been in my being: the constant curiosity and the search for the right questions developed in turn into a biotechnologist with a PhD in biology. As yoga, everything is science.
Teaching is my nature: I used to teach math, chemistry, English and physical chemistry. Then I moved on to acroyoga, yoga and Thai massage. I started teaching when I was 12. I will never stop.

Meditation & Mindfulness

Yoga Leipzig

In 2013, I began leading seminars on meditation and mindfulness in the psychology program at the University of Göttingen. Since 2015, I have been teaching teaching, learning and development, especially to student teachers at the University of Leipzig. After more than 2000 hours of teaching experience, I can say that there is nothing more fulfilling for me than passing on knowledge and methods that provide more presence, more compassion for ourselves and others, a stronger sense of connection with fellow human beings and nature, and increased resilience to stressors.

My teaching is based on current findings in stress research and neuropsychology. I am convinced that by understanding how our brains work, we can understand why training in mindfulness and compassion belongs in every curriculum in the world and why individual practice is so promising.

Mark Goodhead

Power yoga - Vinyasa yoga

Yoga Leipzig

I started my yoga journey in 2012, qualifying as a Hot Power Yoga teaching in 2018, under the tuition of Dylan Ayaloo, who was trained by Baron Baptiste.

Originally from Leeds in the north of England, I lived in London for 20 years, mainly working as a freelance illustrator before moving to Leipzig midway though 2018.
I've always been a city person at heart but also love the natural world & it was this mixture of beautiful old buildings & green outdoor spaces that brought me to Leipzig.

Hatha Flow - Mindful Flow

Christian.png

As a rather unsporty person, I came to yoga in my early 20s. “Better not move too much!” I thought to myself and spent the first few years practicing traditional Hatha Yoga in the Sivananda tradition. But over time, I developed more and more of a preference for dynamic and challenging styles of yoga.

Accordingly, my training path began with Sivananda Yoga in Montreal and Yoga Vidya in Germany and continued with further training in Vinyasa, for example, with Beate Cuson and Rocky Heron in Berlin. Later, I also completed an AcroYoga training.

From 2004 to 2021, I led the Christian Bender Yoga School in Rostock.

As both a teacher and a practitioner, my goal is to combine creative flows with good alignment and a challenging workout with a mindful spirit.

Carolin Wollmer

Hatha - Vinyasa Yoga - Handstands - Acroyoga

Yoga Leipzig

I am a yoga and acroyoga teacher based in Leipzig, teaching regular classes and handstand workshops since 2019. My experience as a movement instructor goes back to 2016 – but my passion for movement has been with me since childhood.

For me, movement is more than just physical practice: it creates connection – to ourselves, to each other, and to the world. In my classes, I combine yogic philosophy with lightness, mindfulness, and space for playful self-exploration.

In addition to my movement practice, I work as an urban geographer in urban development and surveying – here too, much revolves around space, orientation, and community.

And even beyond the mat and the desk, I love to be on the move: as a traveler, sister, and friend – open to encounters and growth.

You can find me at Be Light, offering:

• Yoga classes (group & private)
• Acroyoga (courses & workshops)
• Handstand coaching (workshops & 1:1)
• Thai massage (for you or in a workshop)

Best regards,

Carolin Wollmer

Balanced Mornings Yoga

Linda and yoga - it was love at first sight. She stood on the mat for the first time at 17. Since then she tried many different styles of yoga and stuck mainly to hatha, yin and acro yoga. After the 1001st Downward Facing Dog, she decided to do a yoga teacher training. First in Ibiza (Yin Yoga, 2018), then in Berlin to become a children's yoga teacher and later in Guatemala at the beautiful Lake Atitlan (Hatha Yoga, 2021). Especially the last training changed her life 360 degrees.

She quit her corporate job in HR and trained as a breath and mindfulness coach. The topic of femininity has been on her mind for some time. This year she started working as a doula. She sees her true calling in the birth field and in the postpartum period. Besides yoga classes, she offers regular women's circles in Leipzig and organizes wonderful SoulRetreats in Germany and Tenerife <3 She loves the mountains, traveling and connecting with other cultures.

Linda strongly believes that everyone is allowed to find and walk their own path. In her classes she encourages practitioners to challenge themselves and at the same time not to take themselves too seriously and above all to have fun :)

Daniel Josua König

Kundalini Yoga

yoga leipzig

I am a master violin maker, acoustician, and teacher of yoga, meditation, and Sat Nam Rasayan. I began practicing Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2001 and shortly thereafter discovered Sat Nam Rasayan. Over the years, I have attended numerous courses and festivals and was a devoted student of Guru Dev Singh Khalsa for many years. In 2016, I received his permission to publicly teach Sat Nam Rasayan. Since then, I have been teaching this profound healing art alongside Kundalini Yoga, with a special focus on sound, the origin of music, and working with classical musicians. I call music that arises from the awareness of Sat Nam Rasayan Sat Nad Rasayan – “the flow within the essence of sound.”

Teaching is sharing what you love.

My love for acroyoga was ignited in 2016 by someone who was already on fire, fell in love with my legs, set them on fire and showed me a huge range of partner acrobatic wonder worlds in just a few months. He took me right into his classes and I learned from the beginning to pass on the fun and teach as well.
Acroyoga became my social environment, my game, my sport, my drug, my art form. Lying sleepless in bed at night, spinning one washing machine after another in your head you probably know. Looking for the even more exciting movement and I was always surprised anew. The possibilities seem endless. In the last years I traveled a lot as a teacher over the German conventions and festivals and organized regular workshop weekends and retreats. I was allowed to play and experience really a lot, meet wonderful people, make friends and pass on my passion. For that I am grateful.

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys on fire.
